Oliver Childrens’ Book

My sister is utterly and completely in love with her dog Oliver, and since siblings are bound by law to tease each other, I never miss an opportunity to make fun of him. Of course, Oliver gives me plenty of ammo: he eats bugs, he refuses to be housebroken, he climbs on furniture, he has horrible skin problems, he’s a small dog but doesn’t hesitate to attack dogs four times his size, and, thanks to my sister, he’s spoiled rotten.

I made this book for my sister for Christmas in 2005, and she loved it. Even though this “book” is a joke, making it did give me some insight into what the process of illustrating a children’s book would be like — a kind of project that I’ve never really taken on, but would like to someday.
